Very cheaply made far better alternatives out there

I purchased this blacklight and was sorely disappointed. It is VERY cheaply made... like it was created from a kit by a grade schooler for a science project. The batteries do not fit unless you take it apart and eventually the machine screw you have to pull out to do this will wear the plastic to the point where it doesn't hold any more. The unit I received had to have a wire soldered on to work properly.



I found a MUCH nicer unit by Chauvet for the same price. It is equally as powerful and doesn't fall apart.More detail ...

Beautiful but color not exactly as shown

Absolutely beautiful! Bought it for DD's bedroom adds so much elegance. However color has a yellowish undertone and crystals are pink clear and a bluish-purple. Would've been happier if crystals were only pink and clear but still very gorgeous. Positively no regrets and highly recommended. Bonus: very easy to instal to preexisting ceiling fan and I know absolutely nothing about electrical hardware!More detail ...

Failure prone

We have these as under the counter lights. They're uniformly awful. They work for a few month if you are lucky. Then the lamps don't make good contact with the sockets and go out. New bulbs obviously don't help. Sometimes you can clean the socket with contact cleaner and they'll work for a few more days but then they go out again. Awful awful awful! Replaced with the "new and improved" version. Same problem. Tried another brand of these from another supplier with the same result. Avoid low-voltage halogen and xenon under counter lights.

Bought two of these for our bedroom. Easy to install fits in with the decor but I thought that they'd be brighter. Not quite enough for reading in my opinion but it is possible. Excellent Light Fixture . . .

I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. This fixture was easy to install (you will need someone to help hold it) and relatively inexpensive. Not Impressed! It looks Cheap and it is a Dingy White


I purchased this chandelier for my daughter's room. I am decorating it with a shabby chic princess theme. I saw this chandelier and thought well for the price I can't go wrong.



The description should be dingy white with yellow and brown streaks throughout the base. Because the crystals are clear plastic they have no sparkle. The plastic crystals against the dingy white base just adds to the cheap look factor.





You may get away with placing this in a little girls bedroom room since it kind of looks like a toy. I would however go with another color or count on spray painting this dingy white. I would however strongly advise against purchasing this for any other room in your house. It will scream I am trying to impress but my pockets cannot afford it. You're better off getting a used nice chandelier from somewhere else or spending an extra hundred bucks.







I will be returning this item because it looks like a cheap bargain store item. I would rather put an extra $90 and get a nice chandelier from Lamps plus than use this cheap imitation.






I have looked over this item several times since it has arrived in hopes of it looking better. It gets cheaper looking every time I look at it. If you want to change an elegant room to a cheap discount dollar store looking room instantly then this is the product to buy.

Good Quality

The product unfortunately was not bright enough for what we wanted. Please understand that we are not complaining. It appeared to be very well designed and made.



What we were looking for was a replacement for our Philips Director 40W bulbs we use that are mounted under our Hunter ceiling fans. They had to be dimmable and close to the same size (Diameter 2.375 in & Length 4.125 in).



These bulbs were the right size just not bright enough. Just guessing but a PAR30 might be what we need. We need something that has at least 500 Lumens.



We spoke to the company and unfortunately no one currently manufactures what we are looking for.



We will keep looking. Hopefully the same company will have them because they were GREAT to deal with.More detail ...

Great value easy way to update dining room

I bought this chandelier a few months ago for $83.99. What a great value! A note of caution: the instructions were amateurish - I would have appreciated more details since this was my first time installing a chandelier. But a quick search online and I was able to find better instructions. It ended up taking a couple of hours to assemble and install but it was well worth the time. Great light bar

I was a bit apprehensive with this purchase -- would it be bright enough to light up my (decent sized) hall closet? Some of the reviews of the other (smaller) RightLite products mentioned them not being bright enough.



It turns out that is NOT a problem with this light bar -- it's bright and it does a fabulous job of lighting up my closet. Because the lights pivot and turn I can position it throw the light in 4 different directions and get a really nice distribution of light.



Time will tell how long the batteries will last but given that this is an LED light driven by 6 (AAA) batteries I'd expect decent battery life particularly in a hall closet where it won't be used for extended periods.More detail ...

Great expectations

I was so excited to get these and I ordered the whole set to replace all the lighting in my house. All of the other lights have been wonderful but these have let me down a bit. Why? Well the way the 3 curling arms are built it is very difficult to get them aligned enough to look right. The middle shaft first has to be straightened to it is perpendicular to the ceiling and then each of the 3 arms takes some wiggling and maneuvering. Otherwise they stick out funny or are too far from the glass. I originally ordered 5 but returned 3 of them in exchange for the Hardware House 543744 Berkshire 12-Inch by 5-1/2-Inch Ceiling Lighting Fixture Oil-Rubbed Bronze.



Also a note about the whole set--many oil-rubbed bronze pieces have a sort of brushed look over all the metal work but these lights only have the effect on the edges. It looks good still and matches well enough with my faucets etc. but if you are going for perfection in your coordination you might want to be aware of that.More detail ...

Great halogen replacements

Finally a bright-enough LED par20. I replaced 50W halogens for almost the same light output. They dim great (Lutron electronic dimmer don't know the model). They CAN be installed with halogens at the same time and will dim together fine which is great for the undecided or for the ones who don't want to fully commit to a slightly colder color. (They aren't quite warm white but close)



I'm sure that as my review ages my rating will go down for them but right now these are hands down the best energy efficient par20 dimmables for the price. CFL dimmables do exist and cost half of these upfront but they tend to die fast. Maybe I have bad luck but dimmable CFLs are known to have much shorter lives when cycled often.



For me the big win is that in California energy is really expensive. For a typical bill the last 100kWh of the month costs me 35 cents per kwh. These let me reduce electric consumption in kitchen lighting from 45kwH per month to 4kwH. That's $14 a month or $168 a year. They'll pay for themselves pretty quickly though I'm sure I'll leave them on more now.



The bulb is never more than slightly warm to the touch. My recessed lights are 18 inches above my head so I could always feel the heat when under the halogens. It never bothered me but with these you won't get that.



Overall the only downside for me is the slightly colder light temperature. Not quite as warm white as I'd like but certainly not white. But the fuzzy feeling of saving money makes it warmer.More detail ...

I was highly disappointed in this item. The paint job on this little guy looked like a child did it. Sloppy. The only reason I'm not returning it is that I purchased at sale price and paid more for the shipping than I did for the item itself. This was for my child's bedroom which is aviation themed. Works perfectly...

I recently treated myself to a nice 24" Samsung LCD monitor because I was tired of the cramped 14" monitor on my laptop which is my main computer at home. Problem is because I have the monitor on my desk directly behind the laptop I have to fold the laptop monitor at about a 40 degree angle in order to not obscure the monitor and because my desk lamp is next to the monitor I was having trouble seeing the laptop keys.



Well this light fixed that problem perfectly. Five seems to be just the perfect number of LEDs. Also like the on/off button and dimmer. It's certainly an attractive looking accessory if aesthetics is important to you. Not sure if the blue LEDs on the back of this light really reduce eyestrain as claimed but I don't really mind them in fact they look kind of cool like something from a sci-fi movie lol.



All in all this is way better than the single-LED USB light I got at Walmart which cost half as much.



My only complaint/wish is that the adjustable neck is a bit too short if it were about another 5" longer I would be able to position the lights directly over the center of the keyboard instead of off to one side. On the other hand a too-long neck might make the USB connection more prone to flaking/moving. Right now the USB connection is quite secure happy to say.



Am just keeping my fingers crossed that over time the neck will not lose its rigidity and start flopping around...



The eight fifty shipped I paid for it was pretty reasonable. Couldn't find this light at any of my local electronics stores for some weird reason.More detail ...

Aid to finding scorpions

I have used this black light to find and hunt down scorpions. Many of you may not know this but scorpions light up under the influence of a black light and give off this glowing white green color. They are very bright and unmistakable ehn illuminated with a black light. We had an infestation around our house. With the aid of the black light I was able to find and eliminate 64 scorpions in two weeks.
